    Anna, these are really beautiful! I have actually had amazing reactions between paints using glue and water. The experiment with the resin machine had an interesting result.

      Thank you! Yes, torching pops air bubbles but by doing so creates those little cells. I was trying to figure out a way to not get air bubble cells, as well as no pin holes.

      Thank you! I think price depends a lot on where you are selling them, as well as the quality of your materials, etc. I live in West Virginia which is not a wealthy state, so my jewelry goes for the $10-15 per piece range. But probably in other areas it could be higher.

    Did you know that you used the wrong pot for the 2nd swipe of your 2nd canvas?

      Yep, I got mixed up. But since it was a secondary swipe it didn’t affect the result too much.

    The black paint section wasn't torched right away like you did with white paint side. How did that effect the outcome?

      The torching is to pop air bubbles in the pillow paint. It won’t affect the lacing but may make some additional round black cells to torch after the swipe happened.

    It's very nice but too bad about the bubbles. When Louise McKay paints lazy susans she preps by putting on a coat of varnish first. So maybe if you sand it well and then varnish, that could be the answer.

    I think these would make a lovely mobile. Could one not dip both sides ie dip, dry, dip, dry. Possibly a blue green with blue dominant and then a green dominant side for ocean creatures.

      Good idea! Yes you could dip both sides but you’d run the risk of paint from your second dip coming around the edges and messing up the first side.

    I use tape and also a thin brown contruction type paper. I purchased a big roll of it from Home Depot /Lowe's. The back of my paintings are clean🙂. What i didn't know is about the blow dryer!!! So for my next paintings.. I will go over the tape with a blow dryer! Thank you!!! Im always looking for ways to improve and make my paintings look professional😊

      Thank you! Nope, no silicone in the grasses. The cells came from just the paints interacting with each other…whether it was density at play, or floetrol helping with reactivity, I’m not sure. But it’s really nice!

      If you paint on the inside of the vase, you won’t be able to fill it with water or the paint will peel off. I bet you could put stickers over top, though!

    The cells comes from the reaction from the swiping, not the recipe itself... just for the understanding of the reaction. it´s not a chemical process, more a physical. thats why the old mixture still works... ...nice colours and great video...

      I’m sure there’s a physical aspect to the swiping, but the paint mixture that you use matters for sure!

      @@AnnaBlountArt​​⁠ yes i agree, but I think Its important to understand that it is either the swiping or e.g. A heat gun that Will provoke the cells to emerge. The mixture does matter in terms of how Easy the cells comes forward or how Big and uniform the cells get. I just wanted to elaborate on why the old mix still Works. Not saying mixture isnt of importance :)
